Admissions

Who can apply to Aspire IIT & Medical?
Students from Class 8 to Class 12 and droppers (repeaters) preparing for JEE Main, JEE Advanced, NEET-UG or the Olympiads. Admission is open to students from any board — CBSE, ICSE or the HP Board — and from any state, although most of our students come from the districts of Himachal Pradesh.
How does the admission process work?
Four steps: (1) a free counselling call or campus visit, (2) a 90-minute diagnostic test (online or at any campus) that maps the student’s current level, (3) a batch recommendation with a written fee sheet, and (4) online enrolment with a registration fee of ₹2,500. Most families complete the process within one week.
Is there an entrance test for admission?
Yes, every applicant takes a diagnostic test in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology. It is not an elimination exam — it decides the right batch (Foundation, Integrated, Target or Dropper Apex) and whether the student qualifies for a merit concession.
When do new batches start?
Main batches begin in the first week of April (after board exams) and a second intake opens in the last week of June. Dropper Apex batches start in the second week of May. Mid-session entry is possible until 31 August with a recorded catch-up plan on the student portal.
Can a student join mid-session?
Yes, until 31 August. The diagnostic test identifies the syllabus already covered, and the faculty desk assigns recorded lectures and a two-week catch-up plan on the student portal before the student joins live classes.
Which documents are needed at enrolment?
A recent passport-size photograph, Aadhaar card of the student and a parent, the last school report card or Class 10/12 mark sheet, and a transfer certificate for school-integrated batches. Hostel students also submit a medical fitness certificate and two local guardian contacts.

Fees & Scholarships

What is the annual fee at Aspire?
Classroom tuition ranges from ₹68,000 per year for Foundation (Class 8–10) to ₹1,45,000 per year for the two-year JEE Advanced and NEET integrated programmes. Dropper Apex is ₹1,25,000 for the session. Every quote is given in writing on a fee sheet before enrolment; there are no hidden charges.
What does the fee include?
All classroom teaching, printed study modules, daily practice problems, the full test series (including NTA-pattern computer-based tests every second Saturday), evening doubt clinics, access to the student portal with recorded lectures, and parent progress reports. Hostel, mess and transport are billed separately.
Are EMI or instalment options available?
Yes. Fees can be paid in up to 12 monthly instalments at 0% interest through our education-financing partners, with no processing surcharge. A one-time annual payment earns an additional 5% discount. Instalment plans are confirmed in the written fee sheet.
Which scholarships does Aspire offer?
Three kinds: Brain of Himachal (BOH) scholarship-test ranks earn 20% to 100% tuition waivers; board-merit waivers of 10% to 25% for 90%+ in Class 10 or 12; and need-based support for families with an annual income below ₹3 lakh, assessed by the campus director. Scholarships apply to tuition, not hostel fees.
What is the refund policy if my child leaves?
Before the batch orientation date, 100% of tuition is refunded less the ₹2,500 registration fee. Within 15 days of the batch start, 80% of annual tuition is refunded; between day 16 and day 30, 50%. Hostel and mess charges are refunded pro-rata for unused months. Refunds are transferred by RTGS to the originating bank account within 5 to 10 banking days. The full charter is published at /refund-policy.

Hostel & Safety

Which campuses have hostels?
Shimla BCS (headquarters) has separate boys’ and girls’ hostel towers a 50-metre walk from the academic block. Hamirpur Central has an in-campus boarding wing with a dedicated girls’ floor. Dharamshala and Kullu operate supervised partner hostels within 10 minutes of the centre.
How safe is the girls’ hostel?
The girls’ residency is a separate, perimeter-isolated tower with resident senior female wardens, biometric entry, CCTV in all common areas, a 9:30 PM in-time and no male visitors beyond the reception. Parents receive an SMS on every entry and exit, and may video-call the warden desk at any time.
What are the hostel fees?
At Shimla BCS the residential plan is ₹85,000 per year, covering a twin-sharing study room, a dietitian-planned 4-meal mess, laundry and the monitored night-study pod (8:00 PM to 11:30 PM). Hamirpur, Dharamshala and Kullu hostel plans range from ₹72,000 to ₹80,000 per year.
What happens if a student falls ill?
Every campus has a tie-up with a zonal hospital — IGMC Shimla, Dr. RPGMC Tanda for Dharamshala, and the regional hospitals in Hamirpur and Kullu. A warden accompanies the student, parents are informed immediately, and a first-aid trained staff member is on duty in every hostel at night.
Can parents visit the hostel?
Yes. Parents may visit on any Sunday between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM without an appointment and on weekdays after 6:00 PM with a call to the warden desk. Overnight leave requires a written or app-based request from the registered parent at least 24 hours in advance.

Academics & Batches

What is the batch size?
Every batch is capped at 35 students — 30 for Dropper Apex and Foundation. The cap is enforced by the subject lead and no overflow sections are created mid-year, so every student is known by name to every teacher.
Who teaches at Aspire?
Full-time resident faculty only — IIT and NIT alumni for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and MBBS or M.Sc. educators with AIIMS or medical-college backgrounds for Biology. There are no fly-in guest lecturers, and the average faculty tenure is 8.4 years.
How are tests conducted?
A computer-based test on the NTA interface every second Saturday, weekly subject tests, and daily practice problem sheets. Each CBT report ranks the student against a simulated all-Himachal percentile and is shared with parents the same day on the portal.
Does Aspire also prepare students for board exams?
Yes. The two-year integrated batches run on a schedule synchronised with the CBSE and HP Board syllabus, with school-sync unit tests, so board marks never suffer. Students in partner schools attend coaching in school hours; others follow an after-school timetable.
How are doubts cleared?
An open mentor desk runs every day from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Students book 1-on-1 slots in the app or walk in; there is no token limit and doubts are handled by the subject faculty, not teaching assistants. Hostel students have an additional night-study pod till 11:30 PM.
Are the results verifiable?
Yes. Every selection on our wall of fame is published with the student’s roll number and exam year, and admit cards are available for verification at the campus office. We do not count students who attended only a test series as our selections.

BOH Scholarship Test

What is the Brain of Himachal (BOH) scholarship test?
BOH is Aspire’s statewide scholarship and talent-search exam for students of Class 7 to Class 12 and droppers. It follows the NTA computer-based pattern and ranks every candidate against the entire Himachal cohort. Top ranks earn 100% free tuition and boarding; other rank brackets earn 20% to 75% waivers.
Who is eligible for the BOH test?
Any student currently in Class 7 to 12 or who has completed Class 12 and is preparing for JEE or NEET, studying in any board or school in India. There is no minimum percentage requirement and the registration fee is waived for government-school students.
When and where is the BOH test held?
The main BOH test is held on the second Sunday of December at exam centres in Shimla, Hamirpur, Dharamshala, Kullu, Mandi, Solan, Una and Bilaspur, with an online proctored option. A second window opens in the last week of March for board students.
What is the syllabus for the BOH test?
Mental ability plus Science and Mathematics of the student’s current and previous class, aligned to the NCERT syllabus. Class 11, 12 and dropper candidates take a JEE- or NEET-pattern paper. A free sample paper is available on the scholarship page after registration.
How is the BOH scholarship awarded and for how long?
Results are published within 10 days with a rank card. The tuition waiver is applied to the fee sheet at enrolment and is retained for the full programme as long as the student maintains 75% attendance and sits every scheduled CBT.

Online Classes & Student Portal

Does Aspire offer online or hybrid classes?
Yes. Every batch is recorded and available on the student portal within two hours, and a live-online section runs for Class 11 and 12 students who cannot relocate. Online students sit the same CBTs and have the same doubt-desk access through video slots.
What does the student portal include?
Recorded lectures, daily practice sheets with solutions, the full CBT test series with percentile analytics, 1-on-1 doubt-slot booking, attendance and the hostel in/out log. Parents get a separate login that shows attendance, test scores and warden notes the same day.
Can I attend a demo class before enrolling?
Yes. Free demo classes are held every week at all four campuses and online. Seats are limited to 20 per session so the class feels like a regular batch; book a seat on the demo-class page and you will receive a confirmation on WhatsApp.
Is there a mobile app?
The student and parent portals are mobile-friendly web apps that can be added to the home screen on Android and iPhone — no store download is needed. SMS and WhatsApp alerts are sent for attendance, test results and fee reminders.
